Work Study Program Assistant

About WATF

WATF is a certified community development financial institution (CDFI) that provides low interest loans for assistive technology (“AT”), home and vehicle accessibility modifications and equipment needed by entrepreneurs and employees with disabilities for home-based employment.  In addition to loans, WATF provides information and referral on the selection and use of assistive technology, other funding sources for AT, credit repair and financial literacy education. Job Responsibilties

  • Assist with general office functions including client contacts via
    phone and email
  • Accounts receivable
  • Contact database maintenance
  • Office correspondence
  • Recordkeeping
  • General computer maintenance
  • Donor thank you’s & tracking
  • Oversee mailings
  • Oversee office calendaring
  • Assist with events

Qualifications

  • Skills in office administration including intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel and other programs within Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Prior experience working in non-profit or small business would be a big plus as would personal experience with disability related issues.
  • Highly organized and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task in context of small non-profit is essential.
  • Technology skills – a much appreciated plus!

Hourly Pay Rate: $12 to $16

Hours : 16 hours/week during the academic year (up to 40 hours/week during the summer)
