Washington Assistive Technology Foundation CCTV Rental Program
Introduction
With funding from the Department of Services for the Blind and the Schuman Trust, WATF is able to make a limited number of “closed circuit TV magnifiers” (CCTV’s) available for long-term rental to Washington residents of all ages. These devices provide the magnification that people with significant vision loss need to live independently by help with reading, writing, studying, paying bills, keeping up with correspondence, cooking (reading recipes and directions), monitoring their health and pursuing hobbies.

INVENTORY AVAILABLE:
WATF has several different brands of black and white and color CCTV's available. It also has a limited number of portable units (Clarity's). Rental costs are as follows:
Black & White..... $25/month
Color..... $35/month
Clarity Classmate Portable Color CCTV..... $30/month
Other Resources
The CCTV loan program is not intended to supplant the obligations of other entities (including but not limited to employers, local school districts, institutions of Higher Education, the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and the Department of Services for the Blind). As such, we may defer applicants who are eligible for funding from other organizations (and will also assist with advocacy within these organizations).

Donations
Not sure what to do with your old CCTV? WATF accepts donations of used, operable Closed Circuit TV’s.
